Ouch – nasty! Great page – I love the lighting – particularly in the first panel with the Mime – and the shot of the morlock-vampire dropping down from above is great. Looking forward to some answers now – it’s going to be interesting to see how the different threads of this story come together.
It came together a bit with this page… The Rat Eaters are implicated in the murder of gangster Dimes Donovan, which is what drew the Fowl to the case in the first place. Getting the Fowl on the case was the work of Doctor Fell, who is connected to a scheme to murder twenty-five people around Parris City, although Cross suggests he might have interests of his own that run counter to that scheme. Fell made sure the Fowl went after the Rat Eaters… and, apparently, the fact that the Rat Eaters are starving is the key to the case. At least, in the Fowl’s warped mind it is. Whether or not he gets to explain this before he gets eaten, well, that’ll have to wait until next friday.
More like IT cracked YOUR cape… er!
Why is it my lot in life to have to deal with your wordplay? Stupid Fowl thinks he has it so tough. All HE has to deal with is cannibals with axes.

H.G. Wells reference? Well done.
That one’s all Kostmeyer. Can’t believe I didn’t think of it myself…
The Fowl is such a pleasure to read.
The story is great and your art is just breathtaking!
Man, that’s just about the best thing a fella named Dan can hear!
